Choosing the Right TV

If you want to equip your home with a new TV, one important parameter should be clear from the start. After all, not everyone needs a new TV for the living room, but perhaps a TV for the kitchen or cottage. In this case, it is common to purchase smaller equipment with a diagonal size of 40 to 50 cm. However, if you want a TV for the living room, where more people are expected to watch at the same time, it is advisable to buy a larger model.

Resolution

Resolution should not be forgotten when choosing a TV. Resolutions can be HD Ready, Full HD, 4K, Ultra HD, or 8K.
HD Ready
This is 1366 x 768 pixels, the lowest resolution currently available. It cannot be used on large TVs, but can be used on smaller TVs up to 80 cm diagonal.
Full HD
This is the standard; 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution is the most common by far. Suitable for the average viewer, but if you want more than standard, you will need to increase the pixel count.19]
4K
A 4K image at 3840 x 2160 pixels is already a joy to behold. The sharpness is excellent, with every detail of the screen visible.
8K
This is the ultimate in image quality.

Smart or not?

We can use our TVs not only as a passive source of entertainment, but also for surfing the web, for example. But to do that, you need a smart TV. Then all you need to do is connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi or cable. However, if you don\’t think you can take full advantage of this feature, you should buy a device without it; Smart makes TVs considerably more expensive.

Energy Consumption

Like any other electrical appliance, televisions have some energy consumption. One could say that the larger the image, the more power it consumes, but this is not necessarily true. If one does not want to pay unnecessarily high prices to run a television, one needs to look at this issue when making a choice.
